Finally - the Pacific!

Hi all! Yes I know it's been a long while. Sorry. There's been a lot going on lately and I really haven't known what to write. To be honest I find this whole "blogging" thing to be totally ridiculous. Don't get me wrong I love to write but I have a journal that I write in all the time. But sometimes it's nice to put your thoughts "out into the universe" if you will.
Anyway so I said that I'd write more about Vegas. Well there isn't much to say except that it's awesome and I highly suggest going there for vacation if you ever have the opportunity.
Daren and I took our trip out to L.A. last month. It was amazing! I was working really hard the whole time. I met with 12 different agencies out there. I met with agent of Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Dakota Fanning amongst many others. It was a blast and I think my monologue went over well. I also heared some other monologues that I loved and can now use for the future :o) I met a lot of wonderful actors and truley feel like I made life long friends.
I had one afternoon off where I could go sight seeing with Daren so where do you think we went? The beach of course! It was our first time at the Pacific Ocean and it was incredible! We had a blast. We first went to the Santa Monica Pier and then headed over to Venice Beach! We quickly fell in love with Venice. There were a thousand different "type" of people. It was beyond diverse and nobody cared what you looked like or what you were doing. There were also so many street performers and artist. I bought a beautiful painting from one of the artist on the street. I actually haggled for it and was so proud or myself ;o) Anyhow we are hoping so much to move out to Venice in the next year or two. But other than Venice - California was just amazing in itself. It was the most beautiful weather. I can see why everyone loves it.
That's all for now. I don't really have much of anything coming up in the near future except just more auditions. That's what my life has become ;o) but I'm not complaining. So I'm not very sure when I'll be writing again. Maybe if I'm feeling inspired :o)
Peace!

Home again

Hey! So we just got back from Las Vegas and I have to admit I'm already missing it :o( It was so much fun. A melting pot of diversity. Unfortunately right now I've been awake for about 34 hours. So if this "blog" sounds totally incoherent I'm sorry! I think I got maybe a 20 minute power nap on the plane but I'm so exhausted. Plus the 3 hour time difference has taken it's toll on me. I've been awak since 7(ish) AM pacific time on Sunday morning and now it's 7:30 PM Eastern time on Monday night. Ugh! I need some sleep. That's Vegas for you. I wish I had a month to just stay there and see everything. 5 days was definitely not enough time. There's so much to see there and the hotels are beyond beautiful. I'll post some more pics on a blog tomorrow when I'm actually awake but I'm going to put up an album of pics on facebook and maybe myspace so if you want to see more than look on there. That's all for now. I really feel like I'm about to pass out. Peace and God Bless!

Predictability

Hey - to all those that actually read this ridiculous thing.

New Hampshire has become so predictable. It's the end of April and once again we have flooding just like last April. Last April we were forced into a hotel room for 3 days because the flooding caused us to loose power and our phone for 2 weeks. Oh well such is life. Thankfully we live on the ridge so no water got into the house. The upside is the ocean waves are gorgeous right now! So next comes May and the beautiful weather so I imagine I'll be on the motorcycle ever second and I can't wait.
On Thursday we're leaving for Las Vegas! I can't wait to actually be there but I'm terrified to be on the plane. I can't stand not having any control over the airplane. So prayers would be much appreciated ;o) I'm not sure exactly everything I'm going to do in Vegas but I know I'm going to go to the zoo and aquarium. I do that everywhere I go - it's my favorite of course! There's also a museum of the history of the south (texas, nevada, new mexico) you know all that so I really want to go there and learn some things. Of course the whole time I'm out there I have to be working on my monologue for LA which (in my opinion) isn't going very well but whatever I guess I just have to work harder.
So I guess that's all for now. I gotta get myself some breakfast.

Peace!

p.s. that pic is from short sands beach up in York, ME from April of '07.

New Beginnings

My first "blog" - where does that word come from anyway? Anyhow Daren and I just got back from a fun-filled weekend in PA. It was busy but awesome. We were down there to basically say goodbye to his parents and younger brother because in less than a week they are moving to Nebraska. Yuck. Tornadoes and corn - that's all they got down there. Daren's uncle Allen and his family (wife Julie and two daughters) were also there for the weekend. They are super fun people. We had a blast laughing and joking the whole weekend. We also go to spend time with Levi (my brother-in-law) and his wife and kids whom we love! Ben and Mikhaila are growing SO fast I hate it! Anyway we are going to miss the family so I spent most of yesterday morning crying... a lot... oh well we all must move on right?
So when we got home yesterday I had my first paycheck sitting on the counter from my movie debut! I got $136 for a 20 hour day. How unimpressive ;o) Haha. It's amazing that you can work so hard and make so little. Oh well it's better than nothing right? And I really did enjoy the work. For those of you who don't know I recently filmed a scene for "Ghost of Girlfriends Past" with Jennifer Garner and Matthew McConaughey. I played one of Jennifer Garners bridesmaids. There were 4 of us bridesmaids and we all got along great and are now good friends. I absolutely loved filming and I'm hoping to continue with this career.
Daren and I are heading to LA May 14th. I will be attending the AIM Actors Convention. They accept 33 actors a year to go to this conferance. I'll be meet with top agents out there and with some blessings I will hopefully be able to sign on with an agent out there and live bi-coastly. I'm really excited to go but terrified to fly. We're leaving for Las Vegas May 1st and I've been having panic attacks thinking about flying. But I have to remind myself that thousands of people fly everyday.
I guess that's all for now. God Bless and get out there and enjoy the weather today on Earth Day! Plant a tree or something ;o)
